On the runway to higher sales

In 2016 boutique Dutch fashion brand Marjon Snieders saw its mobile traffic rising and saw an opportunity to strengthen its m-commerce capabilities. They launched a mobile app to complement their responsive website. Now more than 60% of the company’s online sales happen on mobile.

High-end fashion retailer Marjon Snieders successfully made the transition from pure bricks and mortar to e-commerce more than a decade ago, opening its first online store in 2010. Since that time the focus has shifted ever more to meeting the needs of online shoppers.

In 2016 the company realized consumer behaviour was changing. ‘Our analytics were telling us that customers were increasingly leaning towards mobile,’ says founder Marjon Snieders.’



Snieders and her team considered the options and engaged JMango360 to create an ecommerce app that would strengthen the brand’s mobile shopping capabilities, and complement its existing mobile-responsive website.

‘Apps have a better user experience, and we hoped our app would help us connect on a deeper level with customers to increase loyalty and stay top of mind,’ says Snieders.


Snieders says high-end fashion shoppers want to be in the know about new collections and have access to exclusive products and discounts. The company has been able to reach them effectively with push messages and personalisation. That, and the better user experience you get with an app has helped grow mobile sales.

Results? The app has attracted more than 10.000 downloads and has a user rating of 4.8 out of five. 60% of the company’s online sales now happen on mobile.

‘We haven’t promoted the app heavily but it’s still improving our mobile results,’ adds Snieders. ‘App customers come back more often and the AOV is 132% higher than on our mobile site.’
