Unique Wines imports a wide selection of specialty wines for consumers (B2C) and Michelin Star restaurants (B2B). By speeding up the ordering process with dedicated apps, mobile orders are surging — account for 62% of total volume.
“I was receiving lots of Whatsapp messages, faxes — even handwritten orders on drinks coasters from the restaurant business. Online orders were very limited. Processing orders from all these different sources was taking up much time. Although we had a desktop and mobile site, my customers just didn’t want to be sat in front of a laptop screen while getting the restaurant ready or after a hard day’s work. Plus, the B2C responsive site wasn’t showing great conversion rates. We had about 80% of traffic coming from mobile, so we needed a customer focused, high converting mobile experience. That’s when I realised we needed to invest in apps.
